In the vicinity are three famous Croatian national parks: Kornati islands, Krka and Plitvice Lakes. Particular importance has Zadar (20km) with major historical and cultural heritage of the city, which is also the fastest growing and the most progressive city in Croatia. The city has a major international airport and ferry port. There is also the attractive Croatian royal town and island Nin 10 km away.
The island of Vir is surrounded by crystal clear, warm water, with attractive red rocks along the beach at the end of the island towards the open sea. Bike paths are scattered around the island.
